Week of shopping, food and cocktails

I recently had a shopping day at Leeds after my 18th birthday, I absolutely fell in love with the city and not to mention the shops, I viewed a lot of new collections which I was very impressed by, Michael Kors women's accessories was very impressive and have a new collection of military and monochrome prints, I also fell in love with mens Christian Louboutin and Versace hightops and I have decided I shall own a pair at one point in my life!! In the end I settled for a small purchase from Harvey Nichols and a tshirt from the Vivienne Westwood shop. We then headed out for food and drinks from The Botanist which was incredible! Cocktails were also purchased from the Alchemist which was a very interesting experience!

Festival fashion

Looking at festival fashion is one of my favourite fashion periods! And these celebs haven't disappointed whilst at Galstonbury 2014, from what I have seen has looked amazing.. And muddy! The Chelsea boot buy Hunter Boot has been a bit hit by celbs this year, I'm still a huge fan of the Origional Hunter Wellington and love my pair of black glossy boots! The favourite style I have seen is by Alexa aching shown in this photo, a silver/metallic play suit with spaghetti straps a simple parka and Chelsea hunter boots, simple outfit but it worked so well! I also loved Nick Grimshaws look, he went for a more edgy, rock style donning black denim, black leather and green Chelsea hunter boots! Although Ellie Goulding does look brilliant, no denying, she's very brave wearing a all white floaty chiffon outfit especially with the weather conditions Glastonbury have had! Brilliant festival fashion once again!

Hermès Homme, MPFW

There are images circulating round on the social media sites from the mens section at PWF from Hermès documenting sketches of the SS15 collection by Hermès, the collection features print and a classic feel. The prints have a slight twist and something different that the brand have never done before. The sketch of the shoes shown are a wide variation of gladiator sandles in neutral colours and tones, this is one of the reasons I really like the the brand it is incredibly smart, simple, classy and elegant. I can't wait to see actual photos emerge from the show.

SHOW TIME!

My exhibition is now complete!! I am extremely happy with how it has turned out, I have got three boards, a plinth and a mannequin! I have created everything shown on the images I have taken, my buntin has managed to drape across all three boards and all around the top of the plinth, I have attached my bow ties around two cylinders, displayed my pocket squares at either side and my business cards at the front! I have been really excited to set up my show and once I completed it today I was ecstatic with how it looked. I'm looking forward to the show next week and people coming to view my show and receive feed back on my work.

Alexander McQueen LCM:

Alexander McQueens latest SS15 collection has been showcased! Here are a few images I have found from several social networks and fellow bloggers blogs! Once again McQueen hasn't disappointed, this collection (menswear) for Spring/Summer 2015 is edgy, smart and extremely well tailored! Out of all of the photographs I have seen my favourite garment has to be the dogtooth print blazer with a crisp white shirt underneath, it looks clean and effortless, the detail and thought process in this collection has a clear running theme throughout every piece of clothing documented. The colour scheme is predominantly monochrome with one or two other colours, which is fine for me as I live in black, I cannot find one flaw in any of the items of clothing, once again, amazing!

Leather bomber jacket, monochrome & red.

Classic monochrome brogues.

Style on em:

A BIG trend that has come back round for this year are the ripped jeans! I recently saw this trend done by Christian Dada in a punk style collection, I have also seen lots of ripped jeans on celebs and on the high street, being a fashion follower I decided I wanted some of my own. I looked all around shops and the cheapest pair I could find were around £50 which I refused to pay when the same jeans without the rip were priced at £38, I came home to find a old pair of Spray On Skinny jeans from topman and I decided to have a go at ripping them myself, I drew a line just above my knee and ripped along the line using a unpicker, this is the effect I got! There now one of my favourite pair of jeans and I feel can be made casual with a pair of converse or for a more smarter approach worn with leather shoes or Chelsea boots (as shown on image) DIY fashion.

WHITEnow:

Spotted on their way out of their hotel in Prague, Czech Republic, after attending their friends' co-bachelor party the night before. It appears both Kim and Kanye are still celebrating their recent marrige ceremony wearing matching all white outfits. Both looking extremely dapper, crisp and sleek. Kim donned a pair of highwaisted white tailored trousers teamed with a simple white top and a beautifully fitted blazer along with white heels and a slick back low pony tail which complimented the outfit beautifully. Whilst Kanye took more of a 'street' approach to keep his normal style he wore tapered jeans with rips at the knee and a slit at the bottom, he then wore a long white shirt buttoned the whole way up and the cuffs also buttoned, he then matched this outfit with grey desert boots which I believe was a good choice. Over all outfit choices, thumbs up from me!
