Manipulation.

Today in class I created several pleats into a length of silk that I would sample onto for my current project, I used turquoise thread as it matches my design and stands out against the bright white fabric, I will manipulate more of my fabric after I have printed my design onto my fabric, I chose to manipulate a length of fabric before printing to see what result I would get and how the print would fall.
