More fabric manipulation.
Today at home I have produced another peice of fabric fabric manipulated ready for printing onto, I found this peice of fabric far more easier to manipulate and handle as the fabric was stiffer and easier to fold in comparison to the silk which I manipulated previously at college, I first of started by pleating down the left hand side then once the material was A3 landscape wise it was still too long along the bottom so I thought I would experiment by pleating the bottom upwards which meant pleating on top of the pleats already created down the left hand side, I was surprised how well this worked as I thought it was going to bunch up and look un tidy but I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and detailed the pleats looked I then did a straight running stitch down the ends and the middle of the left hand pleats, overall I am really pleased with how this sample has turned out, I am also looking forward to creating another sample using pleats but encorporating slashes into the pleats as this shall be a new technical process for me as I have never used slashing before.
