The actual process of weaving is very simple and enjoyable, firstly start off by measuring lengths of string, cotton, wool anything you wish! Then thread them through the holes in the pegs make sure all of the holes are facing left to right so all of the strings are pointing towards yourself, once this is done WEAVE AWAY! In and out of the pegs until reached the top, then pull the pegs out starting from either end once the first end two pegs are removed the other ones can be removed place the pegs hung over the weave and tie knots at both in all ends of the strings, once this process is finished cut any excess string away, this doesn't have to be done I feel it gives a good effect if the srings are left at about 5-8cm's long!

Weaving:
During the half term break I have created, what I believe is a typical british themed weave, I wanted to base this on the more vintage aspects of Britain I achieved this buy using lots of different textures of wool, yarn, ribbon, string and fringing made out of a silky kind of material. I wanted to use lots of different textures as I personally feel like it makes the weave a lot more interesting to look at, when choosing my colours of yarns I wanted to use I wanted to use the typical british colour theme but try and steer away from the bright reds and blues so I opted for more weathered and worn kinds of colours to give the effect of the weave looking old and vintage. I feel I achieved this very well and I am very happy with how my final weave sample has turned out!
