1960's shift dress COMPLETE!

Today I have finally finished my garment, I began by creating the finishing touches, facings, hems and clean lines I created facings for both the neck like and the arm holes, I pinned into place and sewed along a line next to the overlocking previously done, I then removed the pins and folded inwards to leave a crisp edge, I did the same process to the arm holes.
Here shown up close images of the neck and arms to display the sewing and facings. These photos also show the colours well, I am very glad I chose to use grey rather than black as I feel black would have been far too harsh and not complimented the other colours as well as I wanted to, I feel the grey achieved this very well!
HERE IS IT! My first hand made garment which I am extremely proud of and very happy with the outcome, this is the largest and most complex final piece that I shall produce to go in the exhibition, I shall also create bunting which shall outline my sheet work displayed on boards and hopefully be draped down onto my garment, I have also chose to design and make pocket squares and bow ties as part of mens wear accessories, I chose to do this to balance the women's garment out. I am very excited to create everything to a high standard and display them in the show.
