Samples, devoré:

Today I have used devoré to create a sample on 'devoré satin' for this process I chose to use only one of my four screens just to see what effect I would achieve. I first off started by gathering both the devoré paste and my screen taping my satin down well as the fabric moves very easily once wet! Once I pulled the paste across the image using a squeegee I placed my fabric on the drying rack, it took around one hour to fully dry I then washed my screen thoroughly as the devoré paste blocks up the screen incredibly easily. Once the fabric was dry I heat pressed it the devoré then turned brown (displayed in the third photo) I then washed the fabric and rubbed it together to remove the brown excess then dried and the devoré sample was complete!
