Sampling using shadow and batik:

For these next two samples I have produced I decided to use one of my least favourite techniques, batik, using wax to create a pattern then dying the fabric where ever the wax is the fabric remains white as the wax resists colour, once the dyed fabric has been washed I then ironed off the wax and pressed the fabric I was happy with the effect I got so I then decided to print on it I also attached a peice of silk to the sample therefore I printed two samples at the sake time, I decided to experiment and create a shadow print, I did this by printing then moving my screen a centimetre to the right and print over the top of the already printed design, after doing this I realised I really didn't like the effect it created at all, therefore I decided to leave the sample how it was after using two screens.
