Working on my final piece:

So today I have began creating my 1960's inspired mini/shift dress, I began by cutting out my pattern using pattern peices I had previously drafted out, once this was done and I had cut out both front and back pannels of the dress I began to print, I measured to the middle of the garment and printed the design in the middle, I then repeated this process all over the dress as my design repeats 360 degrees. Once I had the outline layer down I then progressed to adding colour and the details, I chose to use grey rather than black as I believe it looked a lot more subtle and less harsh I then mixed my colours which I believe complimented each other very well! the orange I chose to use was a bright orange almost neon which fitted in with my theme of eras (60, 70 and 80's).
HERE IT IS!!!!
I am still to print the back pannel, overlock the edges and sew the garment together, the back shall look identical to the front, hopefully, I shall then do another blog post once the garment is in process of being complete and fully completed!
