FMP, Primary research, question and answer.
Today I collected a few more photos from my grans house researching into, 60's, 70's, and 80's fashion. After I had collected images I asked her a few questions and asked her to write her answers on paper which I could then use for my sketchbook and use for later researching. The answers that she gave me were very good as they gave me a insight into life in the chosen eras, even having a laugh along the way where she told me "I'm finding this hard to write about the 60's Joe as most of the time I was drunk!" this made the process a lot easier to talk about the eras and the writing more flowing rather than having to force words out! I chose to use my gran for this research based on fashion in eras as she was a very fashionable individual who worked in a bridal shop and enjoyed the Newcastle party life style and being overdressed most days she explained to me. Even to this day at 77 years old she is still very much into researching fashion and still gives her clothing alterations and creates handbags including embellishment for her self using her sewing machine. I feel this question and answer process has worked very well towards my primary research!!
