Pattern cutting.

In preparation ready for when I create my final peice of a shift dress which will feature in the FMP exhibition, I have never made a garment before therefore I decided to make one of the most simple designs, the shift dress, I firstly started by planning out and drawing around the all ready made cardboard patterns of the panels of the dress once this was done I cut around the edges leaving around a centimetre from the pattern line, I have stored them both in my technical folder so I can go back to them when nearer to the time of creating the dress. I will sample on several pieces of different fabric before I do any of this process.
